CANDLES

Our Candlestix were designed to be used with Beeswax Candles, as they are soft and will mold to the point easily. Being a little sticky, the beeswax will adhere to the Candlestix and secure the candle.
Beeswax also burns cleaner and is dripless when not left in a draft.

Any beeswax candles will work, but to make it easier we include a pack of six candles with every purchase of Candlestix, so you can use them right away.

To secure a candle, firmly hold the Candlestix in one hand and the candle in the other, and twist them together back and forth until the candle sticks. Then place them on a flat surface and adjust the candle so it is perpendicular to the ground. 

CLEANING

Brass

Brass will naturally change color over time, due to oxydation. I happen to love the time patina, but if you prefer a bight finish, please follow these instructions:

Gently rub with a polishing cloth  or spray with a metal cleaner and wipe dry using a soft paper towel or rag.
Be careful not to damage the leather disc at the bottom while doing so.

Leather

Leather is really resistant, but can stain and doesn't like water. To clean, use make up remover and a clean cotton pad.

Wax

To remove wax from metal, rub a clean cloth with hot water, then wipe dry.
