To celebrate its first anniversary, Augusta gallery presents a selection of emblematic pieces by the various designers with whom it collaborated in 2023-2024.
An opportunity to (re)discover the work of designers Louise Richard, Roxane Lahidji, La Gadoue Atelier, Didier Henry, Ariane van Dievoet, Frédérique Hoet-Segers, Sonian, BC Materials, Studio PART, Lionel Jadot and Laure Kasiers.
Open Thursday - Saturday, 14 - 18h + by appointment.
Ariane van Dievoet presents her Augusta bench, a piece made from reclaimed wood and carefully selected pieces of discarded green marble. Other pieces include bookends made of wood and stone scraps. This is Ariane van Dievoet’s speciality: combining traditional assembly methods with digital technologies to upgrade materials by taking into account the properties of the offcuts she collects.
Ironworker Didier Henry and designer Ariane van Dievoet present a series of sculptures made from leftovers of brass and bluestone. The moon-like sculptures are the result of their collaboration and experimentation with the forge. The large piece exhibited in the bar of The Dominican hotel displays the fire patina, a testimony to the role of the fire in their creative process.
